Latest tidings from Selvaraghavan's camp

Expectation for Selvaraghavan's next film is very much alive despite the fact that the project has been in the making for over two years now. The director's last release was 'Pudhupettai' in the year 2006.

His next film 'Aayirathil Oruvan' which has Karthi, Reema Sen and Andrea in lead roles, constantly faced financial issues as it kept exceeding the granted budget.

Luckily, the film is nearing completion now and Selvaraghavan is planning to commence his next project in early 2009. reports indicate that Vishal might play the lead role in the film. Initially, Suriya was envisaged for the role but then things didn't work out. As far as the female lead is concerned, Trisha is being considered. The film would be produced by Ramesh Babu, who had previously made the films 'Pokkiri' and 'Nam Nadu'.

Rajini, Kamal to fast on Nov 1?

The Nadigar Sangam seems to be ready to undertake the fast which has planned on the 1st of November to express solidarity with the Lankan Tamils who are killed in the crossfire between Sri Lankan forces and the LTTE.

With the Union government assuring to look into the issue, the Lankan Tamil matter is off the boil in Tamilnadu. Representatives of the Nadigar Sangam have confirmed that emotions and tempers would not flare at the proposed one-day fast organized by the association over the Lankan issue.

Emotional speeches marked the rally at Rameswaram organized by the film fraternity on October 19 eventually leading to the arrest of directors Seeman and Ameer. Cases of sedition were filed against them.

A grand dais has been erected at the Nadigar Sangam for the fast which would be staged between 8 am and 4 pm. Rumors are doing the rounds that both Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan have confirmed their participation in the fast.
