Latest tidings from Selvaraghavan's camp
Expectation for Selvaraghavan's next film is very much alive despite the fact that the project has been in the making for over two years now. The director's last release was 'Pudhupettai' in the year 2006.
His next film 'Aayirathil Oruvan' which has Karthi, Reema Sen and Andrea in lead roles, constantly faced financial issues as it kept exceeding the granted budget.
Luckily, the film is nearing completion now and Selvaraghavan is planning to commence his next project in early 2009. reports indicate that Vishal might play the lead role in the film. Initially, Suriya was envisaged for the role but then things didn't work out. As far as the female lead is concerned, Trisha is being considered. The film would be produced by Ramesh Babu, who had previously made the films 'Pokkiri' and 'Nam Nadu'.
Rajini, Kamal to fast on Nov 1?
The Nadigar Sangam seems to be ready to undertake the fast which has planned on the 1st of November to express solidarity with the Lankan Tamils who are killed in the crossfire between Sri Lankan forces and the LTTE.
With the Union government assuring to look into the issue, the Lankan Tamil matter is off the boil in Tamilnadu. Representatives of the Nadigar Sangam have confirmed that emotions and tempers would not flare at the proposed one-day fast organized by the association over the Lankan issue.
Emotional speeches marked the rally at Rameswaram organized by the film fraternity on October 19 eventually leading to the arrest of directors Seeman and Ameer. Cases of sedition were filed against them.
A grand dais has been erected at the Nadigar Sangam for the fast which would be staged between 8 am and 4 pm. Rumors are doing the rounds that both Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan have confirmed their participation in the fast.

Balumahendra floats an institute
The institute has started its functioning in its own premises. The building was constructed actually as a shed for shooting purpose, but now made for regular use.

Nayan takes all the place of Trisha
This has added double booty for Nayanthara.
Nayanthara has send a circular to all the production houses and her regular clients stating that reduction of dress will apply separate charges than that of acting close with the man in the movie. She has fixed her salary according to the class of the production house and director, and accordingly by percentage, the charges increase which will be disproportionate to that of reduction of dress material. A special additional charge at the rate of 200% will be levied on the skin show charges according to the closeness with the man she pairs.
Villu will be the first movie to show her both semi-nude and in very closeness with the man - Vijay.
Vijay's son is not Vijay's
The small boy watch movies regularly, let it be Tamil or in other languages. Unlike Vijay's fans, Sanjay never stick on to his dad as his favorite hero. If he does not like the movie of Vijay, he simply replaces his favorite with other heroes who have done a good job in their film.
Vijay is so sad about his son not being always his!

Kuselan Movie Review
The movie throws light on the real Rajinikanth, who has been quite a puzzle with millions of his fans. And the star himself answers questions that have been plaguing the minds of millions of his fans. Want to know the answers to why Rajini has not entered politics? Why the superstar often goes to the Himalayas? Why the actor still prefers to work in run-of-the-mill stuff? ‘Kuselan’ has got all the answers. With Rajinikanth by his side, P Vasu has come out with a message that is quite though provoking. The usual adage is 'Matha Pitha Guru Deivam'. With ‘Kuselan’ the adage gets an addition - 'Matha Pitha Guru Nanban Deivam'.He plays the 'Super Star' himself and does not at any time impose himself on screen. Watching Rajinikanth play the role with consummate ease is like watching Sachin Tendulkar on song at the middle of the crease. It's like listening to Beethoven's symphony sitting under the moonlight. Though the story doesn't revolve around Rajinikanth, he manages to leave his indelible presence on screen. Especially towards the climax, an emotional Rajinikanth identifies his friend recalling their good old innocent days. These are sequences that evoke tears to our eyes bring the human side of each of us to the forefront.
It is a tough task for an actor like Pasupathy to carry the entire burden on his shoulders acting alongside a scene stealer like Rajinikanth. As a poor barber, fighting for survival, he evokes all the sympathy. Seemingly an extension of his role in ‘Veyyil’, Pasupathy passes out with flying colors. Hats off to him! Meena as his caring wife is more of a realistic portrayal. She understands the emotional struggles of her husband and gives him the much needed solace and comfort. She sure manages to get under the skin of her character and has done an extremely good job. Nayanthara plays herself in the film and executes the job entrusted to her quite well. She plays a heroine in films, who shoots for a movie alongside Rajinikanth. She fulfills the glamour quotient and serves the purpose indeed well. Vadivelu's comedy compliments the script well. His trick to get an audition with Rajinikanth, who is shooting in the village brings down the roof with laughter.
The movie boasts of a huge star cast including Livingston, M S Baskar, Sona, Geetha, Fathima Babu, Brahmanandham, Chinni Jayanth. All have significant parts to play in the film.Prabhu plays a cameo while a host of stars including Sneha, Soundarya Rajinikanth, Suriya among others appear for the ‘Cinema Cinema’ song. Kuselan is about two childhood friends, with one becoming the Numero Uno in the film industry, while the other lands up as a barber in a hamlet.Balakrishnan alias Bala (Pasupathy) is a poor barber in a village. He leads a happy life with his wife Sreedevi (Meena) and his children, until a film crew lands in their village to shoot for a movie. Coming to know that Super Star Ashok Kumar (Rajinikanth) has come for shooting in the village, and also with the understanding that he is Bala's childhood friend, villagers flock to Bala's house with favors. A man with tremendous self dignity, Bala fears to meet Ashok Kumar thinking that he may not identify him. But, when the two meet after a long gap, the emotional drama between the pals, sets up an emotional 20-minute climax.
Complimenting Vasu's hard work are Arvindh Krishna's excellent cinematography and the brilliant musical score by G V Prakash Kumar. The catchy numbers ‘Om zarerare’ and ‘Cinema Cinema’ have especially been captured in an attractive manner by Aravindh Krishna. The background score towards the climax sets up the momentum.Hats off to director P Vasu! The film-maker, who knows the knack of remaking a Malayalam hit in Tamil, has rendered a movie that has the right packaging of emotions. He has intelligently packaged the movie with commercial elements that a hardcore Rajinikanth fan would love without spoiling the crux. Produced by Pushpa Kandaswamy and Vijayakumar, ‘Kuselan’ is a movie that would go down well with Rajinikanth fans and this is a great opportunity to see the real side of this spectacular actor though on celluloid.

Nude scenes from Prabakaran's movie removed
The movie was sent for clearance from Censor Board, but was banned to be screened as the movie of Prabakaran had nude scenes which the board members felt, it will stimulate sexy ideas and promote vulgarity.
With no other option, Velu Prabakaran, the director of the movie 'Kaathal Arangam' has removed the nude scenes which the censor board felt was vulgar and has added other scenes and expecting that the movie will be cleared for screening.
He has also renamed the movie as 'Kaadhal Pakkangkal'
Rajini's another dirty secret revealed
But on completion of the movie, the movie is being marketed in the name of Rajini and all other actors are nulled.
Actors including Meena and Pasupathi are upset on the way they are being blacked out by the producer of the movie as they were not even invited for audio release or present in any of the publicity materials.
Rajini, as a gentleman of this universe called up all these people who were angry over him as he is being projected in front and shared their feelings and blamed the producer and director for all these issues.
This reached KB and Vasu. Upset over Rajini's behind the scene game against them, they openly declared "For 15 days acting if this movie as a guest, choopper took 23 crores from our pocket, then by what means we can market the movie and recover that 230 million! Do you think we can make the money by placing Pasupathy or Meena's photo? Ask him to take 1 million and return back 229 million rupees so that we will start giving importance to Pasu and Meena!"
